Business & Commercial Vacuum Cleaners - Pacific

Why our Michigan-based company is called 'Pacific'
A lot of folks ask us that, and our new name -- simply Pacific -- goes back to our roots along the Pacific coast nearly a half century ago. Known for many years as Pacific Steamex, we've introduced a new vibrant logo and image that captures our excitement for the future, as well as pays tribute to our founding in San Francisco in 1946.

Back then, we built "tough as tanks" floor polishers and burnishers, which many of our customers tell us are the best in the business.  We rapidly built a reputation for offering quality machines at a competitive price, and over the year our business expanded. Seeing the opportunity for tremendous growth, Pacific was purchased by the Hines Corp. in 1985, and relocated to Michigan.

Over the years, we broadened our floor care equipment line by acquiring U.S. Floor Systems' "Steamex" line of extractors and Silver Bullet Manufacturing Company's propane burnishers.

Today, Pacific offers 70 models of innovative, and quality-built equipment, ranging from industrial ride-on and walk behind scrubbers, burnishers and polishers, extractors, vacuums and sweepers.

What's Unique about Pacific equipment
Look, most machines regardless of brand will clean floors. The real difference between Pacific and our competitors is twofold: our people, and the innovation of our products. Our sales representatives are second to none and will go the extra mile to help you with your cleaning needs.  We also tout a long list of "firsts" in the industry, such as a dual-voltage AC/DC backpack vacuum, beltless manual sweepers, a spot and spill extractor with built-in dryer, and "sweep and scrub" auto scrubbers.

Where You'll Find Pacific Equipment
In short, worldwide! You can find Pacific equipment through a global network of authorized dealers serving the sanitary supply industry. Our floor care machines are used by cleaning professionals in schools, office buildings, hospitals, retail stores, hotels and food service -- in short, any commercial operation where floors need to be cleaned.

Pacific equipment is also distributed internationally, through our sales partners in Mexico, Central America, South America, Europe, Russia and the Far East. So there's a good chance that wherever you are in the world, you'll find Pacific floor care equipment.

Pacific Floor Care Celebrates 60

January 31, 2007 — Pacific Floor Care is celebrating 60 years in the floor cleaning equipment industry.

According to its press release, the company was founded as the Pacific Floor Machine Co. in San Francisco, CA, where it produced heavy-duty, single-brush floor machines. Purchased in 1985 from Sam Robin, Pacific became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hines Corp. The next year, Pacific Floor Care relocated to Muskegon, MI, where it remains headquartered today.

Pacific has long been known for bringing innovative products to the industry, starting with the innovative "Tote-a-Cap" feature on floor machines. In the 1990s, Pacific launched many leading-edge products to the market. Pacific first introduced the Mini-Edger floor machine, which is able to easily and productively clean tight areas as well as baseboards; a dual-voltage backpack vacuum; and the first multi-functional wide-area vacuum system. Today, Pacific Floor Care is excited to launch two of its newest products to the commercial floor care industry: the Proteus 26 auto scrubber and the Proteus 210E cord electric auto scrubber.
